Re-entry. Ernest Gold's soundtrack enters the chart for the first time since 2012

The 1960 film Exodus takes place after the Second World War and deals with the founding of the state of Israel.

The film is an old-school war epic — and Ernest Gold wrote a soundtrack to perfectly complement it with soaring melodies, heart-rending strings and plenty of brass.

The score won an Oscar in 1961. Just listen to the opening theme and you can see why.
