Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
New entry for Burt Bacharach's music for the iconic film
This iconic film is loosely based on the real-life story of Wild West outlaw Robert LeRoy Parker, known as Butch Cassidy, and his partner Harry Longabaugh — known as the Sundance Kid.
Burt Bacharach's music won an Oscar for Best Music and the song 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head', written for the film, won the Oscar for Original Song.
The score recalls the scores by Ennio Morricone and plunders the music of South America — as in the bossa nova-inspired 'Not Goin' Home Anymore'.
