Debussy's seafaring orchestral romance has sunk 42 places since last year, but still clings on in the Hall of Fame

Started in France in 1903 and completed on the English Channel Coast in 1905, Debussy's La Mer is regarded as one of the great orchestral works of the 20th Century. With its moving dialogue between the wind and the waves, people often think it may have inspired John Williams to write his iconic score for Jaws.
