This was a new entry last year — and now, it's up 89 places. Sullivan is a Hall of Fame One Hit Wonder.

The Yeomen of the Guard was the 11th of 14 collaborations between composer Arthur Sullivan and librettist W.S. Gilbert. Set in the Tower of London during the 16th Century, the opera is one of the darkest the pair ever produced, though there are flashes of Gilbert's usual use of puns and biting satire in the libretto.

Illustration from Gilbert's The Bab Ballads, with which are included Songs of a Savoyard.
