James Bond theme
Monty Norman

The most famous theme tune from a film franchise that is celebrated for its famous theme tunes is a re-entry in 2014 for the Movie Music Hall of Fame.

Monty Norman's iconic and energetic fusion of electric guitar and brass isn't the highest 007 theme on the Movie Music Hall of Fame (that honour goes to John Barry's On Her Majesty's Secret Service — by just a few votes). But the James Bond Theme is certainly the most instantly recognisable. It first appeared in the first 007 film, Dr No, and has appeared in almost every movie in the franchise. The theme is frequently rearranged to suit the fashions of the day, or a mood of a scene in a particular film.
