James Horner's Academy Award-nominated score for A Beautiful Mind continues to charm and intrigue in equal measure.

When it came to making A Beautiful Mind, the true story of John Nash and his troubles with schizophrenia, director Ron Howard called upon James Horner not just because of his track record for writing phenomenal film music, but also his ability to communicate, with Howard saying of Horner "It's like having a conversation with a writer or an actor or another director. Horner's score perfectly taps in to the emotions of the John Nash character, but it also features hauntingly beautiful moments of singing from Welsh soprano Charlotte Church, chosen by James Horner because he wanted a balance between a child and adult singing voice. Horner received an Oscar nomination for his score.
